Juliette is an honors student attending Washington University in St. Louis, where she also works on Miss O & Friends. At age 10, Juliette tapped into her artistic creative side, drawing what she referred to as "cool girls." Along with the help of her sister, mom and other girls, after five years of just play, Miss O & Friends was formed for girls ages 8-12. As she explains, "We started with a Web site by girls, for girls, featuring real girls, including my sister, Olivia (Miss O), our Asian-American cousin Harlie, Justine, inspired by a local tween, Isabella, Olivia's friend, and me." Miss O & Friends fills the void for tween girls who have outgrown Barbie and are not ready for Britney.



Carl Brown
Carl Brown, California Citizen Journalist, MTV: Music Television's election initiative Street Team '08

Carl aims to use the upsurge of web broadcast capabilities to create personal stories that highlight relevant social and political issues facing California residents. In 2002, Carl moved from Brooklyn to the Bay Area, starting his own freelance video production company, Corduroy Media. His concern with social inequality, environmental racism and corporate control of information and media outlets motivates his projects with independent artists, non-profit foundations, and educational groups. He currently works with clients in the Bay Area and New York.



Steve Bryant
Steve Bryant, Editor, Thrillist

Thrillist.com's New York editor came of age as an itinerant southerner, traveling the bible belt with his father, a biscuit salesman, and his mother, a freelance hospice nurse. And while that's not true, it's a matter of record that he edited a glossy arts and culture magazine in Virginia before moving to New York City in 2002 to meet your daughter. He's since achieved editorial notoriety by reporting for the New York Daily News, managing a journalism school in Russia, and punditizing about online video for the Hollywood Reporter, the Online Journalism Review, and several other publications you haven't read. Linda Burch, Chief Education and Strategy Officer, Common Sense Media

At Common Sense Media, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the media lives of kids and families, Linda oversees digital media strategy, program development, outreach to the education segment, as well as the growth and operation of the organization's regional offices. Previously, she was Senior Vice President of Business Development and Corporate Planning at SyStemix, a biotechnology start-up that she helped build and then sell to Novartis. Before that, Linda was a strategic management consultant at McKinsey & Company, serving healthcare and consumer-product companies; and in investment banking at Bear Stearns and Merrill Lynch, where she negotiated joint ventures between U.S. technology companies and the People's Republic of China.

Prior to her role at AddictingGames, Kate launched and lead product marketing for Shockwave.com's downloadable games business and also managed business development for its parent company, Atom Entertainment. Kate formerly was an associate at Advent International, a private equity firm, and an analyst at Volpe, Welty and Co., a boutique investment bank.



Catherine Cook
Catherine Cook, President, myYearbook.com

Catherine is a college freshman who leads a not-so-secret double life. Catherine is a co-founder of the fastest-growing social networking site on the Internet, myYearbook.com. She and her brother, Dave, brainstormed the idea-a digital yearbook for the modern age-then persuaded their older brother, Geoff, to jump on board as their first investor. In just over a year, Catherine helped grow the site to 1.7 million U.S. unique visitors and achieved low 7-figure annual revenue through partnerships with companies like P&G. John Davison

John manages the daily operation of the company he founded and directs all content generation for the brand and its various products. John brings more than 18 years of experience in the interactive entertainment media industry to his role as president of What They Like. Michael Franzini
Michael Franzini, Emmy-award winning director, photographer, youth culture expert

Michael is a youth culture expert based in Los Angeles and New York. He is also an Emmy-award winning director and photographer. His book, ONE HUNDRED YOUNG AMERICANS: The True Story of Youth Culture In America was released in November 2007 by Harper Collins. The book features hundreds of his photographs of teens from every state, as well as biographies and essays on teen life in America. Michael founded and, for ten years, ran Public Interest, a nonprofit ad agency that created youth-targeted advertising for MTV and many other networks. Public Interest clients included organizations such as The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, The Girl Scouts of America, The Elton John AIDS Foundation, Rock The Vote, Google, Nationwide Insurance and the Partnership for a Drug Free America. Previously, Michael was Associate Director of Cambridge Technology Partners, where he managed software development projects for clients such as Charles Schwab, Fannie Mae and Cisco Systems. Michael holds degrees in cognitive science from Carnegie Mellon and in film production from the University of Southern California.



Anastasia Goodstein

She currently is expanding the Web site and community into WhateverLife's very own storefront, targeting mainly tweens, teens, and young adults!

Often quoted as a tween-teen expert, Denise has been featured in various media including ABC, NPR, More magazine and USA Today Prior to AllyKatzz, Denise was Vice President of Sales at USA Today.



Holly Rotman

A grad of New York University's film program, Holly previously worked in documentary production and led video workshops for underprivileged teens and tweens in New York and New Jersey public schools.



Ian Rowe

Since 2004, Ian has overseen MTV's on-air and off-air "pro-social" campaigns that build awareness of issues of importance to the MTV audience and encourage them to take action. Before MTV, he was the Director of Strategy and Performance Measurement for USA Freedom Corps at the White House, the President's volunteer service initiative. Ian is an Echoing Green Fellow, spent two years at Teach For America, received an MBA from Harvard Business School and holds a Computer Science Engineering degree from Cornell University.

Craig was also COO of MyFamily.com, where he helped grow the company from $23 million to $150 million in sales and transform it from an advertising-based site to a highly profitable consumer subscription business. Before this, Craig held senior positions at American International Group, where he ran all marketing and Internet sites for AIG in Japan and Korea. Previous to AIG, Craig was CEO of Cendant Japan, a joint venture founded by Cendant and Mitsubishi Corporation.

Chloe is an aspiring documentary filmmaker who lived in New Zealand for eight years, returning to Wisconsin last year, where she resides with her parents and two sisters.

Lance is a co-founder of RockYou!, and brings more than 15 years of software and management experience to the company. Prior to RockYou!, Lance held Vice President & Chief Technology Officer positions in consumer and enterprise Web services companies Iconix and Open Harbor, and was an early employee at Resumix, now Yahoo! HotJobs. Lance holds patents in text extraction and document categorization, with an email patent pending as well, and has received the American Association of Artificial Intelligence Award of Innovation for work on spatial text understanding. He received his Bachelors and Masters in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hawaii, and his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Texas.

As Kongregate's chief revenue officer, Lee is integral to the growth and monetization of one of the Web's top indie gaming sites. He is responsible for driving advertising partnerships that leverage the high user engagement of Kongregate's young male audience. Previously, Lee was a vice president of sales with Viacom, MTV Networks, where he nearly tripled ad revenue over a three-year period at Atom Entertainment. He also was the long time publisher of the Ziff-Davis Media Game Group, which includes 1Up.com and Electronic Gaming Monthly. Lee holds a BS in marketing from the University of Delaware and an MBA from Temple University.

Working in the fields of online community and ecommerce for more than 30 years, Michael long has been bringing exciting new technologies to consumers. In 2001, Michael joined There.com as an investor and currently serves as CEO with the goal of making There.com the premiere 3D virtual world for consumers. He was one of eBay's first employees, where he was responsible for building the organization and technology for the world's largest and most successful ecommerce site. Michael began his career at Macy's California, where he developed point of sale and electronic credit card authorization systems, later becoming the youngest senior executive in the company's history. He also has held key positions at daVinci Time and Space, The Well, and Well Engaged.



Saskia Wilson-Brown
Saskia Wilson-Brown, Manager VC2 (Viewer Created Content) Outreach, Current TV

After obtaining her Master's Degree in Fine Art at Central Saint Martin's College of Art & Design in London, Saskia moved to Los Angeles to work as an art director for music videos and commercials. She then became co-director of the Silver Lake Film Festival (SLFF), creating a new media arm to the festival. Since leaving SLFF, Saskia has maintained her ties to the film festival world, serving as a documentary programmer as well as a film juror and panelist for festivals. Saskia currently is the manager of global outreach for VC2 (the viewer-created content arm of Current TV), where she spearheads projects designed to gain new short format documentary content for the network from international filmmakers, while initiating content partnerships and overseeing the development of VC2 producers.
